Root-Cause Labs

Functional testing designed to reveal the “why” behind your symptoms.

At Solstice Health, we use functional, root-cause lab tests designed to uncover imbalances and underlying health issues. These advanced labs analyze a variety of sample types—including saliva, urine, stool, and hair—to provide a more complete picture of your health. These labs can be completed at home, making them convenient and non-invasive.

Our Most Recommended Labs

These core labs provide a powerful starting point for uncovering underlying imbalances in digestion, hormones, detoxification, and more. Depending on each client’s unique goals and health history, different combinations of labs are used to create a personalized roadmap for restoring balance and reaching peak health.

Stool Test

Evaluated gut health by analyzing over 70 biomarkers to assess bacterial balance, yeast and parasite activity, intestinal inflammation, and key immune markers that reflect overall gut and digestive function. This test helps identify hidden infections, microbial imbalances, and impaired digestion or absorption that may contribute to symptoms such as bloating, gas, constipation, diarrhea, and acid reflux.

OAT Test (Organic Acids Test)

Measures 77 key metabolites in the urine to reveal bacterial and fungal overgrowths, nutrient deficiencies, detox capacity, and neurotransmitter activity for a detailed look at cellular health. Imbalances detected on this test can be linked to symptoms such as fatigue, brain fog, anxiety, mood changes, poor sleep, appetite changes, sugar cravings, and recurring yeast or digestive issues.

HTMA Test (Hair Tissue Mineral Analysis)

Evaluates mineral levels and heavy metal exposure through a small hair sample to reveal patterns in nutrient status, detox capacity, stress response, and adrenal function. Since minerals and metals are involved in hundreds of biochemical reactions that influence energy, hormone health, and cognition, this test helps reveal how underlying imbalances impact overall wellbeing.

Hormones Test

Provides a comprehensive look at cortisol, DHEA, thyroid hormones, and sex hormones (such as estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone) to help reveal patterns that may influence energy, metabolism, and stress response. Imbalances in these areas can be associated with symptoms such as fatigue, mood changes, anxiety, sleep disturbances, irregular cycles, PMS, acne, hair loss, low libido, and weight fluctuations.

Neurotransmitters Test

Evaluates 20 essential neurotransmitters—such as serotonin, dopamine, and GABA—to reveal chemical imbalances that can impact mood, attention, motivation, sense of calm, and overall emotional balance.

Food Sensitivity Test

Identifies IgG immune responses to 190 different foods to uncover delayed sensitivities that may contribute to bloating, skin issues, acne, brain fog, fatigue, headaches, joint pain, sinus congestion, and inflammation. These reactions can also influence digestion, mood, and overall energy levels.

Mold Mycotoxins Test

Detects mycotoxins—harmful compounds produced by mold exposure—to uncover potential sources of chronic fatigue, brain fog, sinus congestion, headaches, respiratory issues, immune dysfunction, and inflammation. These toxins can also contribute to hormonal imbalances, skin rashes, digestive upset, anxiety, and cognitive symptoms such as poor focus or memory lapses.

Environmental Toxicity Test

Screens for over 170 environmental toxins—including plastics, pesticides, and pollutants—that can accumulate in the body over time. These toxins can burden the liver and other detoxification pathways, disrupt hormone balance, impair metabolism, and deplete energy levels.

Please note: All labs we work with are CLIA-certified (Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments). This certification ensures that the labs meet rigorous federal standards for quality, accuracy, and reliability. CLIA certification is granted only to labs that adhere to strict guidelines set by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, ensuring results are consistent and reliable for creating a personalized wellness plan based on the most precise information available.
